Things are heating up for Ek Villain and what is working for Sidharth Malhotra is the entire perception factor around him that has changed in a course of less than a couple of years. From being a quintessential Karan Johar star after Student of the Year, he is now being looked at as an actor who is ready to deliver in a role which takes him out of his comfort zone.
"Yes, this is where an outing like this helps because audience would now see me seriously as an actor. Ab woh keh sakte hain ki chalo beyond the looks, iss bande mein yeh acting waali baat bhi hai. From Ek Villain, I really want to take everyone's perception about me to a different level," says Sidharth.
Things started changing with Hasee Toh Phasee earlier this year and once Ek Villain promo went on air, it was an altogether different Sidharth that audience saw.
"If you notice, the film is actually changing everything that you think of me otherwise," says Sidharth, "I am in this rugged look which is new for me. I want to make it unique for the audience and now that the film is ready for release, I am eagerly waiting for people to see it."
That's true indeed, what with Balaji firing all cylinders to bring this Mohit Suri directed film on screens next Friday.
