Sidharth Malhotra To Play A Gay Character In Shakun Batra's Next?

If rumours are to be believed Shakun Batra will be directing a film for Dharma Productions based on homosexuality. The movie is said to be a family drama, where the lead character comes out of the closet at a family function.

The film is apparently very close to Karan Johar's heart and he wants to actors to get into the skin of the character. Shakun naturally chose Imran Khan his actor in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu for the film's central character, but due to the ongoing cold-war between KJo and Imran, the plans did not materialize. So Shakun approached Dharma's current blue-eyed boy Sidharth Malhotra. The film will also have another lead male actor who will play the role of the lead's brother. Rumours are rife that Shakun is keen to cast Saif Ali Khan as the second lead. What's more we hear that there maybe an actual lip-lock scene between Sidharth and another guy.

Although the movie is in it's initial stages, the makers are tight-lipped about the story and the rest of the cast. It is to be seen that Dharma productions who is known to make light-hearted movies with fresh and youthful concepts, are able to handle a bold and brazen subject.
