As per a report in Bar and Bench, the Bombay High Court bench, consisting of Justices Sarang Kotwal and Neela Gokhale, acknowledged the summary report filed by the Bandra-Kurla Complex police station. Following that, the HC judges allowed Shweta Tiwari to withdraw her petition.
The actual case dates back to 2021 when Shweta's ex-husband Abhinav Kohli accused her of forging his signature. He claimed that Shweta forged his signature on a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) that she needed to obtain a UK visa for their son in 2017. Kohli complained to the British consulate about this matter, resulting in Reyansh's visa being canceled by the authorities.

Abhinav filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Shweta and then approached the High Court to counter the claims made by her ex-husband. Tiwari stated in her petition that the FIR was filed in 2021, four years after the incident occurred, suggesting that it was filed in retaliation amid personal issues between the two, as a sort of revenge.
