Shreyas Talpade, who is known for portraying comic roles in Bollywood, had played the role of a deaf and mute young man in the 2005 film Iqbal, which was his Bollywood debut and the actor recently got nostalgic about it during a special screening of the film at a college in Mumbai.

Interacting with the students after the screening, Shreyas said, “In the past decade or so, I have been part of many projects before and after Iqbal, but none moved me the way this film did. People often perceive the film to be about cricket or a deaf mute boy that is far from the message and the idea of the film. Iqbal is about hope and belief, no more, no less and that is the least I would like the youngsters to take away from this film, if not more.”

Shreyas will be next seen in Wah Taj, which is a satire about a man's struggle against the establishment.
