The investigation has also brought forward the names of several actors and politicians, whose identities reportedly surfaced in police remand documents. Their names appeared as attendees of parties connected to people involved in the racket. However, no formal charges have been filed against them so far, and the probe is still ongoing. Bollywood celebrities Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor, and Nora Fatehi and political Zeeshan Siddiqui's names have been found, say media reports.

The ANC recently busted a massive mephedrone (MD) manufacturing and supply network valued at around ₹252 crore. According to the police, the syndicate was allegedly operated by wanted drug lord Salim Dola, who is believed to be an associate of Dawood Ibrahim. The racket was designed like a factory system, producing large quantities of the synthetic drug for distribution across multiple states.

Investigators say that key accused, including overseas handlers, coordinated logistics, raw materials and money movement. One of the Dubai-based operators was arrested and extradited to India after international cooperation. The police are now looking closely into financial links, hawala routes and real-estate investments that may have been used to launder the drug money.

The appearance of celebrity names in the probe has drawn public attention, but officials have clarified that these references do not automatically imply guilt. The individuals may be questioned as part of routine procedure to understand the wider network.
