Shraddha Kapoor laughs like a Chudail:

Shraddha Kapoor played the leading role in Amar Kaushik's Stree (2018) and Stree 2 (2024). Stree was a super hit at the box office, while the sequel became a huge blockbuster and also the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year. In a recent interaction with Komal Nahta, director Amar Kaushik revealed a humorous reason behind casting Shraddha.

Amar said, "The credit for casting Shraddha goes to Dinesh Vijan (producer). He met her during a flight journey. He told me that she has a different laughing style. She laughs like a chudail. Sorry, Shraddha, but he said something like that. I don’t remember if he said witch or something else; I am not sure. So, when I met Shraddha, the first thing I told her was to laugh."

The video was shared by a Twitter user and has gone viral for two reasons. One is that people got trolling material against Shraddha, and the second is, of course, that her fans are angry at Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. This has left Shraddha's fans upset, while detractors are using it to troll the actress.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 was released on Independence Day weekend in 2024. Starring Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Varun Dhawan in a cameo role, the film went on to become a record-breaking Bollywood movie in the Hindi language.
