Sholay's 'Kalia' Viju Khote Passes Away

Veteran Bollywood actor Viju Khote, who is best known for playing Kalia in cult classic Sholay, passed away on Monday. He was 77.

Born on December 17, 1945, Viju Khote breathed his last at his Mumbai residence. In a career spanning over four decades, Khote had worked in more than 300 films and several plays. He was a renowned artiste in Marathi cinema and plays as well.

He is best know for his roles in Sholay, Andaz Apna Apna and television show Zabaan Sambhalke (1993). Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3 and Priyanka Chopra's Marathi production, Ventilator were few of his last releases.
