Shanaya Kapoor to Star in SOTY 3 - Student of the Year 3

Shanaya Kapoor in Student of the Year 3:

Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor's daughter, Shanaya Kapoor has yet to make her Bollywood debut, but she is already basking in a plethora of projects. The actress will be playing the lead role in Student of the Year 3, aka SOTY 3. Reportedly, she will be playing a double role in the film.

According to a report in Filmfare, Shanaya will portray two contrasting characters, similar to what we have seen with Hema Malini in Sita aur Geeta and Sridevi in Chalbaaz. The storyline requires a young actress who can handle both characters with ease.

"This would be a bold move for Shanaya, allowing her to showcase her versatility right from her early films. Even though SOTY 3 will come out after her other releases, this could very well be her career highlight," a source told the media portal. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this.

Speaking of the SOTY franchise, it began with Student of the Year (2011) featuring Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt. The film performed impressively at the box office and subsequently had a sequel, Student of the Year 2, released in 2019. However, this film did not do well at the box office. Now, after six years, the team is coming up with a fresh concept and new cast. More details will be revealed soon.
