It is generally the case with siblings that the younger ones tend to often follow the example set by their elders. Take the case of the Shetty sisters, Shilpa and Shamita. While Shilpa, the eldest, has set the way, Shamita has been contend to follow in her footsteps.
Following in her sister's footsteps, Shamita has also become a part of the Big Boss show. It will be remembered that Shilpa's career as an actress was as good as finished in Bollywood when she received a second lease of life after winning the Big Boss show in the UK. She wasn't exactly flooded with film offers, but after emerging a winner from Big Boss's house, the actress succeeded in becoming an International name and in the bargain, also managed to find her life partner in Raj Kundra. Most of Shilpa's moves are orchestrated by her mother, who is an astrologer. Now that Shilpa's life seems to have been set, Shamita seems to be wanting to come out of the closet. Unlike Shilpa, Shamita has not really tasted any kind of success in films. Her last release was 'Cash', which did not do well at the box office. The actress had a wonderful debut in Aditya Chopra's 'Mohabbatein' but after that was more or less reduced to doing item numbers like the famous 'Sharara Sharara' number in 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai' and 'Chori Pe Chori' in 'Saathiya'. In between there were decent roles in films like 'Zeher' and 'Fareb'. But she has more or less, been out of contention in Bollywood. With her entry into the Big Boss show, which kicked off yesterday, the actress seems to be following her sister's footsteps into Big Boss's house. She will be hoping that she can emerge a winner like her sister before her. It might bring her some more movies or even better, Mr Right might just walk into her life, like it did for Shilpa.
