Shahid Kapoor To Star In Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Next

After delivering the much-acclaimed Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is joining hands again with Farhan Akhtar for a film titled Toofan. While the filmmaker is busy preparing for the sports drama, he has already started working on his next project.

Rumours about Shahid Kapoor being in his next started doing the rounds, after he got spotted at Mehra's office on several occassions and now, the filmmaker has confirmed the reports. Talking to a tabloid, Mehra revealed that Shahid and he 'really wanted' to do a film together. He said that Kapoor is a fabulous actor and that with him 'it's like finding a DNA match.' Rakeysh believes that he would have a lot of fun working with Shahid.

Meanwhile, Shahid is busy with the remake Arjun Reddy, titled Kabir Singh. Mehra will take Toofan on floors in August, this year and it will release in 2019.
