Shahid Kapoor Smoked 20 Cigarettes A Day For Kabir Singh!

The trailer of Kabir Singh was unveiled a few days ago and Shahid Kapoor is getting rave reviews for his portrayal of an addict surgeon with anger management issues.

Though he has manged to impress the audiences with his performance, he had a tough time playing Kabir Singh. While talking to a tabloid, Shahid revealed that though he doesn’t endorse smoking, his role in the movie required him to smoke and it came to a point where he was smoking almost 20 cigarettes a day. He used to take a shower for two hours to get rid of the smell, before returning home to his kids.

Shahid is playing the titular role in Kabir Singh, which is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Directed by Sandeep Vanga, who had also helmed the original and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, Kabir Singh stars Kiara Advani as the female lead and is slated to release on June 21.
