He's not the King Khan for nothing. And at the unveiling of the first theatrical trailer of his upcoming superhero flick, RA.One, Shah Rukh Khan asserted his status at the top of the B'town totem in as many words.
At the press blitzkrieg at Mumbai's IMAX dome theatre today, SRK was questioned by scribes about what his character's name in the film, 'G.One', meant. And the reply from SRK left everyone stunned.
With a sly smile on his face, Khan said, "the 'G' stands for Gauri, my wife," which elicited chuckles from those present. But everyone burst into hooting applause, when he continued, saying, "and the 'One' stands for my position in the film industry!"
Of course, as was revealed later, Shah Rukh's character is named 'G.One' in the film because he is the 'Good One', while the title, RA.One, refers to the film's yet to be revealed villain, whose full name is 'Random Access Version One'.
With Shah Rukh firing the latest salvo in the industry's never ending war for supremacy, it waits to be seen how the other top Khans respond, especially since rival, Salman, is all Ready and set with a new release soon…!
