Shah Rukh Khan Trolls His Flop Film Zero:
Shah Rukh Khan never misses a chance to laugh at himself, and he proved it once again at the preview launch of his son Aryan Khan’s debut show, The Bads of Bollywood. The event was filled with energy, glamour, and some light-hearted fun, thanks to SRK’s witty sense of humour.
During the event, Shah Rukh invited the cast members on stage. Among them was actor Manish Chaudhari, who plays the role of a producer in the show. While speaking about his character, Manish delivered a powerful dialogue: “Mere saath rahoge to hero bana dunga, warna Zero bana dunga.”
Quick to respond, SRK grabbed the mic and said with a smile, “Main bhi producer hoon, to producer ek baat kahun? Aapko jo bhi banana hai bana lena – ullu bana lena, gadha bana lena, mamu bana lena – lekin bhagwan ke liye meri tarah Zero mat banana.” His witty remark had the entire crowd bursting into laughter.
With this, Shah Rukh Khan cheekily referred to his 2018 film Zero, directed by Aanand L. Rai. Despite featuring big names like Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, the film failed to impress audiences. Made on a massive budget of around ₹270 crore, Zero collected only about ₹88 crore in India, becoming one of SRK’s rare flops.
By turning the moment into a joke, SRK once again showed why fans love him—not just as a superstar, but as someone who doesn’t shy away from laughing at his own setbacks. After Zero, SRK made a smashing come back with Pathaan and Jawan in 2023, as both films went on to become record Bollywood grossers at the domestic box office.
