Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand's KING goes through the rewriting process –

Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand collaborated for the first time with Yash Raj Films' Pathaan (2023), which was a record-breaking blockbuster. The duo is now coming back together for King, also starring Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. The film was previously directed by Sujoy Ghosh, but Anand replaced him after a mutual decision. Now, it is reported that the Bang Bang director is taking additional time to rewrite the script.

According to a report in BollyHungama, Anand wants to ensure that King does not have any loose ends in the script. Therefore, he is taking it through the rewriting process to keep things solid. "Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan have created a film like Pathaan, and the aim is to raise the standards set by YRF's Spy Universe film with King. Hence, Sid is getting everything right on paper before taking the film to the floors," a source told the portal.

King was supposed to begin filming this month, but since Siddharth is busy with the script, it has now been postponed until June 2025. "The film will be shot in India and Europe starting in June 2025. Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix are committed to providing a larger-than-life cinematic experience for the audience and bringing the film to the big screen by the end of 2026," the source added.
