Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming action thriller King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film has been making headlines ever since it was announced, especially because it will feature Shah Rukh sharing screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan.

According to a report by Mid-day, the father–daughter duo recently wrapped up an intense eight-day shooting schedule at Ellora Studios in Mira Road. The schedule reportedly focused on a major action sequence set during the festive celebration of Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra.

Sources close to the production revealed that the makers recreated the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional Vijayadashami procession. The elaborate set featured large crowds, drums, colours and the energetic frenzy usually seen during immersion day celebrations. Hundreds of background performers were brought in to make the sequence look grand and realistic.

Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan shot the sequence across eight consecutive nights. The scenes reportedly required both actors to perform amid the massive crowd while the festive procession unfolded around them.

The highlight of the schedule was Suhana Khan performing several action stunts herself. The young actress, who made her acting debut with The Archies, is said to be undergoing extensive training for her role in King. Her performance in the action scenes is expected to be a major talking point when the film releases.

King is being mounted on a large scale and is expected to feature stylish action sequences, something director Siddharth Anand is known for after films like Pathaan. The film is scheduled to be released on Christmas 2026, up against Shakti Shalini and Avengers Doomsday. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Bachchan, Saurabh Shukla, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Raghav Juyal and others.
