Shah Rukh Khan Becomes The First Bollywood and Indian Actor To Deliever 3 Consecutive 200 Crore Nett Films In A Calender Year

Shah Rukh Khan has had a dream year, even though his last release, Dunki, didn't really score huge at the box office. He started the year with Pathaan, smashed many records, and gave Bollywood its first 500 crore nett grosser. Then, he returned with Jawan, only to surpass his own and other Bollywood records.

Jawan smashed Pathaan's opening day and weekend records and then went on to become the first Bollywood movie to breach the 550 crore nett club. Fans and trade had similar expectations from Dunki, but it didn't really go to that level. Despite an underperforming run, Dunkin has managed to surpass the 200 crore nett mark, which has only been surpassed by 5 films in 2023 (2 of them were SRK starrers). Now, that registers another record to Shah Rukh Khan's name.

With Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan becomes the first and only Bollywood and Indian actor to deliver 3 consecutive 200 crore nett grossers in a calendar year. He is also the only Bollywood and Indian actor to give 2 back-to-back 500 crore nett films. We will be waiting for his return to shatter some more numbers soon.
