Shah Rukh Khan Hits Shirish Kunder At 'Agneepath's Success Party

On Sunday Shirish Kunder realised that calling Shah Rukh Khan's opus RA.One a fizzled cracker publicly, was definitely not one of the wittiest things to do.

For the uninitiated, post the release of Shah Rukh Khan's ambitious sci-fi project Shirish Kunder took digs at his film on Twitter, writing, "I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle." This didn't go down too well with Khan and at Agneepath's success party he got into a scuffle with Farah Khan's filmmaker husband.

Sanjay Dutt who plays Kancha in Agneepath hosted a bash at a popular restaurant in suburban Mumbai to celebrate the success of the film. However, the venue turned into a battleground when Shah Rukh Khan, reached there after attending the Filmfare Awards.

Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan overheard Shirish Kunder talking bad about RA.One and confronted him. The duo got into a verbal fight which was soon followed by King Khan dragging Shirish Kunder by his hair and punching him. And it was only when the owner of the nightspot and  Sanjay Dutt intervened, that Shah Rukh Khan stopped roughing the director up. Post the fight, Shirish Kunder left with a swollen face and soon shah Rukh Khan too walked out of the party.

While Shah Rukh Khan has maintained a stoic silence on the matter, Shirish Kunder was quoted saying, "Shah Rukh punched and jumped on me. And he had three bodyguards with him. I don't know what got him. I was numb with shock so I couldn't react. He kept screaming at me  'What do you think of yourself? I'll see to it that you're out of this industry'."

"I was totally unprepared for this kind of an attack. If I was standing in some area where I would expect some goondaism, I would have been better prepared. But this is a classy party. Who would expect someone to jump on your from behind? I walked out of the party after that. He is taking out his personal frustrations on anyone he comes across," he further added.

Shirish Kunder's wife and Shah Rukh Khan's former best friend Farah Khan too is upset about the whole incident. "Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. So it saddens me to see him doing the same," Farah Khan was quoted to have said.

Buzz has it that Shah Rukh Khan also abused his frenemy Salman Khan, who presently is in great terms with Shirish Kunder, while hitting the filmmaker.
