At the recently held Cosmopolitan Awards, Shahid Kapoor won the coveted 'Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Male Most Desirable' award. Looking dapper at the event, Shahid Kapoor, who recently opted out of Karan Johar's film due to date issues, stated that he was looking forward to work with Dharma Productions.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Karan, unfortunately the dates are clashing so it won't be possible. I really hope that I get the opportunity to work with Dharma. I have great respect and regards for Karan and he is also a friend and I really hope that I get that opportunity soon," said Shahid.
In year 2005 KJo offered Kaal to Kapoor, but the Mausam star couldn't do it then, and after seven years the filmmaker again offered his forthcoming project, which will be helmed by Puneet Malhotra, to Shahid.
However, Shahid, who was pretty excited about working with Johar, refused to do the movie as he had already given his dates to filmmaker Maneesh Sharma. But the chocolate boy expressed his desire to work with Karan at the 4th Cosmopolitan Awards and also said that he hopes that it doesn't take another seven years for them to work together.
"Very long back we were supposed to work together and it's been seven years since we got that opportunity again, so I hope it doesn't take another seven years and I hope we get a chance to work again," said the 30-year-old actor.
Meanwhile, Shahid has wrapped up Kunal Kohli's forthcoming project in which he'll be seen opposite Priyanka Chopra.
