Salman Khan turns a year older today and on the occasion of the Dabangg actor’s 55th birthday we bring to you a list of women Salman fell in love with.

Shaheen Jaffrey: When Salman was 19 he fell in love with Ashok Kumar’s granddaughter Shaheen Jaffery, who also happens to be actress Kiara Advani’s aunt. Salman was so besotted by Shaheen that he was often spotted waiting for her outside St. Xavier’s college, where she used to study. They wanted to get married however, things fell apart as Sangeeta Bijlani entered Salman’s life.

Sangeeta Bijlani: Former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani and Salman Khan were madly in love and were very close to getting married in 1994. We hear that even wedding cards were printed but according to Salman’s own confession, the marriage was called off as she ‘caught’ him cheating on her. However, the duo still continues to be the best of friends.

Somy Ali: Well, Somy Ali was the reason behind Salman and Sangeeta’s breakup. Somy fell in love with Salman after she saw his film Maine Pyaar Kiya and the 16-year-old left Florida to find her crush and marry him. She then entered Bollywood and met her dream man and the couple was inseparable for the next few years. However, they headed for splitsville as Salman entered the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and laid his eyes on Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya Rai: Even though Salman was in a relationship with Somy Ali, he couldn’t resist Aishwarya’s charms and fell hook, line and sinker for the beauty queen. Their love story began on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam sets in 1997 and though marriage was on the cards, Salman’s violent behavior led to the death of their relationship.

Katrina Kaif: Salman Khan signed Katrina Kaif for his film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005) and took her under his wings. The duo fell in love however, their relationship ended after Katrina fell in love with her Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani co-star Ranbir Kapoor.

Claudia Ciesla: Claudia, who is best known for her stint in Bigg Boss Season 3, was also rumoured to be dating Salman however, she categorically denied the reports claiming that Salman was just her ‘good friend.’

Iulia Vantur: Presently Salman is rumoured to be dating Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur and the duo has been spotted together at several public events. They also spent the lockdown together at Salman’s farmhouse.
