Kids Of Noted Actors
The film stars Vivaan Shah and Akshara Haasan, the children of talented actors Naseeruddin Shah and Kamal Haasan and Sarika respectively. Interestingly, Naseer and Kamal had shared screen space way back in the 2000 film Hey Ram and now, after 16 years, their kids will be seen paired opposite each other, which is creating a lot of curiosity.
A Super Talented Cast
Apart from Akshara Haasan, Vivaan Shah, Gurmeet Choudhary and Kavitta Verma, the film stars stalwarts like Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Shukla and Darshan Jariwala, who are veteran theatre actors, who have proved their mettle with countless films and have years of acting experience.
Akshara Haasan Walking The Untrodden Path
Akshara Haasan, who made her Bollywood debut with R. Balki's Shamitabh, is just one film old, but the young lady will be seen playing an unwed mother-to-be in this film, which is something that other young actresses are mostly reluctant to play and we are eager to see what this light-eyed beauty has to offer in terms of performance in this film.
Serious Issue Sweetened With Humour
Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana was triggered by the rise in teenage pregnancies in India, but though the film deals with such a serious subject, it does so with a liberal dose of humour, which should make you chuckle and think at the same time. Usually, films with a serious message, end up being preachy and somber, but this movie seeks to entertain and encourage introspection.
Wholesome Family Entertainer
Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana has loads of comedy, romance, drama and also deals with parent-child relationships, which makes it a wholesome entertainer, which can be watched by the entire family.
Manish Harishankar
Writer-director Manish Harishankar, who will make his first commercial venture with this film, established himself as an original playwright and theatre director at a very early age in Delhi and Mumbai theatre circuit. Later he joined filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi for films Halla Bol, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Phata Poster Nikhla Hero as his Associate Director.
Melodious Music
The upcoming family entertainer is blessed with melodious and memorable music, whether it be the foot-tapping title track or the youthful Bezuban or Rishta, which has an old world-charm of its own or the humorous Mano Ya Na Mano, which has been crooned by Padmashri recipient Malini Awasthi.
