Say What! Shruti Haasan Walks Out Of 'Sanghamitra'! Read Details Inside...

Actress Shruti Haasan, who was slated to play the lead character in upcoming trilingual period drama Sanghamitra, which was unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival this year, has reportedly walked out of the film!

A source said that the project was supposed to commence by August, but it has now been pushed to the end of October. Though Shruti was quite excited to be a part of Sangamithra, as it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a period film with substance, she could not adjust her dates as she will kickstart her new Hindi film in October.

However, an official statement from Haasan's spokesperson reads, ''Shruti has had to unfortunately take a call to not be a part of Sangamithra. Despite her enthusiasm for the project, she has to give the film a miss since she has not received a proper bound script or information about the filming schedule.''

On the Bollywood front, Shruti will be next seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in Behen Hogi Teri.
