Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's romantic family drama, "Satyaprem Ki Katha," released all over yesterday. The film sold more than 55,000 tickets in advance booking, which indicated a double-digit opening day for the film. However, it fell a little short of the expected number.
Satyaprem Ki Katha had a below-par occupancy in the morning shows and then showed a good jump after the noon shows. The Bakri Eid holiday factor has helped the film put up a decent total of approx. 8.50 crore nett on the first day.
The Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer should have opened over 10 crore considering it was a solo Bollywood release on the said Friday. The film will see a dip in collections today as it will be back to normal working day after a partial holiday on Thursday. The drop will be recovered on Saturday and Sunday, though, but by how much? Let's wait and see.
