Actor Sanjay Dutt, who wowed audiences with his role as Kancha in revenge drama Agneepath and was last seen playing the role of an arrogant cop named Mahadev Bhosle in the disastrous Department, will be next seen playing the role of a real life gangster Sarman Jadeja in Soham Shah's Sher and buzz has it that the deadly Dutt's look has been inspired by Amitabh Bachchan's 70s films, where he played the 'Angry Young Man' persona.

Confirming the news, director Soham Shah was quoted saying, "I extensively researched Jadeja's character before finalizing the look. It's a period film and the look had to be authentic. I would say that the reference point of the story is in the 'Robin Hood of Gujarat' fable, but Dutt's look is truly inspired from Amitabh Bachchan's 'angry young man' image from the 70s."

Incidentally, Dutt had shared screen space with the Big B in Department, where the latter played the role of reformed gangster turned politician named Sarjerao Gaikwad.
