Sameer Wankhede The Bads of Bollywood
Sameer Wankhede Files Defamation Case Against Bads of Bollywood Makers:
Former NCB officer and IRS official Sameer Wankhede has filed a defamation suit in the Delhi High Court against the makers of the Netflix series The Bads of Bollywood, alleging that the show’s portrayal amounts to wrongful and damaging depiction of him.

The complaint names Red Chillies Entertainment (the production house owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan), Netflix, and associated parties. Wankhede is seeking ₹2 crore in damages, which he says he will donate to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital.
In his petition, Wankhede contends that the series includes a character bearing a “striking resemblance” to him, especially in episodes depicting drug raids. He argues that the depiction is “false, malicious and defamatory,” and that it undermines public trust in anti-drug enforcement agencies. Wankhede points out that the legal proceedings involving him and Aryan Khan are still pending before various courts, making any prejudiced portrayal especially problematic.
He has also asked the court for a permanent injunction restraining the creators from airing the allegedly defamatory content further, as well as a formal declaration that the portrayal is defamatory. The case adds another dimension to the high-profile controversies surrounding the series, which has already been under scrutiny for other scenes and public reactions.
