Salman Khan Refused to Hug Me In front of Aishwarya Rai - Sheeba Chaddha:

Actress Sheeba Chaddha has made a surprising revelation about an incident that took place during the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 1999 super hit Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sheeba shared that Salman Khan once refused to hug her in a scene that also involved Aishwarya Rai.

"There was a scene between Aishwarya, him and I, and he had to hug me in that scene. And he said he wouldn’t," Sheeba recalled. The scene was from the film’s climax, where Aishwarya Rai’s character hugs her, followed by Salman’s character doing the same.

However, things did not go as planned. Sheeba explained, "Salman said, ‘I won’t hug’." The shoot came to a brief stop due to his refusal, and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to step in and speak with him.

When asked if she confronted Salman about his decision, Sheeba said she chose to stay silent. "Why would I ask him? I was new; I thought I should keep to myself and let the director handle it," she added.

The film went on to become a major hit, but this behind-the-scenes moment remained unknown until now. Salman and Aishwarya were in love around the same time and this BTS revelation certainly makes it clear. However, they parted ways soon.
