Salaar vs Dunki: Prabhas starrer Salaar was scheduled to be released on September 28, 2023, but was postponed due to delays in post-production. Now, the makers are thinking of releasing the film on Christmas 2023.

Reportedly, film exhibitors have received mail from the maker of Salaar, Hombale films, stating that the film might be looking for a Christmas window at the box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that Hombale will make an official announcement this Friday, on September 29, 2023.

Well, that puts it up against Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's much-awaited Dunki!

SRK and Hirani booked the slot a long time ago, but things aren't predictable in the film industry. Had Salaar been released on September 28, then there would have been no discussion about the clash.

If you remember, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was also announced for Christmas 2023. The film has been moved to Eid 2024, giving Dunki a two-week solo run at the box office. But is it really going to be a solo release?

Salaar makers are yet to take a final call since the film is not ready. It's possible that they might go for 2024, but if they want to release it this year, then Christmas is the best period, even in a clash. December seems jam-packed, and big films like Salaar and Dunki should get a solo run, at least for a week or two. Let's wait for the official announcement.
