Saif Ali Khan Gears Up For 'Happy Ending'

After three action films in 2013 (Race 2, Go Goa Gone, Bullett Raja), Saif Ali Khan would be returning to the big screen with a musical romcom in the coming year. It would be time for him to kick-start proceedings with Happy Ending which brings him back with his Go Goa Gone director duo of Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru.

A major portion of the film's shoot has already been wrapped up in overseas. While Ileana D'Cruz, after pairing up with Shahid Kapoor in Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, is now Saif's heroine in the film, rest of the combination is made of actors like Govinda, Preity Zinta, Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin with a special appearance by Kareena Kapoor.

"It is a big film; in fact the biggest that we have worked on. There is a twist in the tale though, something that we are quite excited about," says Raj, one half of the director duo, "Saif is pretty much playing himself."

Considering the fact that his last big hit was again a musical romcom-cum-drama, Cocktail, one waits to see how Happy Ending actually turns out to be a 'happy beginning' for Saif as he steps into 2014.

Produced by Eros & Illuminati films, Happy Ending is planned for 28th March release.
