Don't go by the title. Well, as yet at the least! Though Heropanti may sound like another R... Rajkumar or a Bullett Raja in the offering, it was far away from these out and out 'masala' films. Well, this is what filmmaker Sabbir Khan, who has earlier directed a biggie Kambakkht Ishq with Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, wants the audience to know before stepping into the film.

"Well, people may construe that from the title but no, the best part of Heropanti is that it is definitely not a masala film," smiles Sabbir Khan who is making his second film in a row with Sajid Nadiadwala, "The reason why the film is called Heropanti is because of Jackie Shroff who struck 30 years with Hero. Hence it was just poetic that Tiger's debut film had a same ring to it as well."

For Sajid Nadiadwala, who has reveled in making family entertainers, Heropanti adds on to the repertoire that Nadiadwala Grandson has gained over last couple of decades.

"In this company we tend to make commercial mainstream films and in that aspect, 'Heropanti' is a beautiful love story," says Sajid, "When you see the trailers and songs, you would find a stamp of populist commercial cinema feel to it. This is what it is about; the film has its own merits with the kind of story telling that would be highly engaging for the audience."

We would love to see that when the film releases all over on 23rd May.
