'Saawariya' Senorita Sonam Kapoor Turns Year Older

Known in Bollywood circles as an actress as well as a fashion icon, Sonam Kapoor, the daughter of Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor, made her film debut in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya, a film adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's short story 'White Nights'. Though the movie was not a major success, Sonam Kapoor came to be noticed for her fresh looks and screen presence.

Following this, Sonam Kapoor, who transformed from a plump teenager to a svelte young woman, appeared in many movies like Delhi-6, I Hate Luv Storys, Aisha, Thank You and Players.

Sonam Kapoor will be next seen playing the female lead in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which is based on the life of national athlete Milkha Singh and also in Raanjhnaa, where she will be paired opposite the Kolaveri di sensation Dhanush.
