Saawariya and Om Shanti Om set for a release clash

The date clash continues in Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om is all set to hit the theatres on November 9 along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya.

SRK is continuing with the release date of November 9 despite Bhansali's frequent requests to SRK that he releases Om Shanti Om in the second week of November. The reason being that SRK's good friend Madhuri Dixit's come back film Aaja Nachle is releasing on November 30 and he does not want his film to clash with hers. Bhansali's pleas have fallen on deaf ears as SRK has full intention of releasing Om Shanti Om on November 9. Bhansali is now believed to be rethinking a release date for his movie. SRK not only wants to avoid a clash with Aaja Nachle because of his friendship with Madhuri, and also because that film is being made under the Yashraj banner. He obviously does not want to upset Aditya Chopra. Meanwhile Sony Pictures have confirmed that the production company will release Saawariya on November 9 with Shah Rukh's Om Shanti Om.
