Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has issued an official clarification regarding reports that Golmaal 5 is inspired by or based on the 1980 film Do Aur Do Paanch. The rumours had been circulating widely on online and digital media platforms, creating buzz among fans of the popular comedy franchise.

In a statement shared under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez, the team firmly denied the claims. The statement read, “We wish to issue a strict clarification regarding certain news reports currently circulating across online and digital media platforms claiming that Golmaal 5 is inspired by or based on the film ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’.”
