The novel coronavirus pandemic has lead the government of India announced a 21days lockdown nationwide to curb the spread of novel coronavirus. The lockdown has affected several daily wage workers as their earnings have come to a halt. Amid this, celebrities are taking pledge to contribute in their ways to help these daily wage earners not to suffer in hunger by contributing to take care of their livelihoods. Entertainment industry has come to halt amid this, leading to several daily wage workers left with no job to earn money for sustaining their livelihood. Amid this, the Sooryavanshi director Rohit Shetty have made a donation of Rs. 51 lakhs, to Federation of Western India Cine Employees(FWICE) for helping the daily workers of entertainment business. Making the announcement of Twitter, FWICE chief advisor, Ashok Pandit thanked Rohit for his support to the federation through his notable contribution at this hour.

Earlier Salman Khan announced that he has taken pledged to financially support 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor has paid the employees of his production house in advance and is also looking after the meals of the people working in his building. He is also taking care of the ration of the studio members who are in dire need.
Meanwhile the novel coronavirus outbreak is the biggest challenge that the world is facing right now globally. The pandemic has hit the world hard, and in India, the novel coronavirus has infected around 1657 people and has lead to the death of 50 people nationwide as of April 1st, 2020. Celebrities from around the world and across sectors are now coming together and joining hands to help the government battle the pandemic and contain the outbreak.
