Roadside Romeo ready for Release

Roadside Romeo, the animation film being directed by Jugal Hansraj, is now finally ready for release. The film, which has been in the making for the last three years, is being produced by the Yash Raj banner. The film's music too has been launched.

The film, whose protagonist is a dog called Romeo, has his voice dubbed by Saif Ali Khan. Kareena Kapoor has given the voiceover for Laila, one of Romeo's canine friends in the film. The villain of the piece is called Charlie Anna and has been dubbed by Javed Jaffrey. Unlike in real films, the dubbing happens right in the beginning in an animation film. It works backwards. After the dubbing is complete, the animation artistes create the scene. For this film, it seems that the actors had to act out every scene in front of the camera. The animation artistes then copied every gesture and expression of their and incorporated it into their characters. Incidentally, with Roadside Romeo, Jugal makes his debut as a director.
