Back in 2006, Rituparno Ghosh had put together a bilingual Sunglass. Made in Hindi and Bengali, the film never saw the light of the day. In fact after Rituparno's untimely death last year, it seemed that curtains were finally down on the film. However yesteryear actress Dipti Bhatnagar has revived the film and while Sunglass would now be called Taak Jhaank (Andar Ki Baat), it is being readied for 2015 release.

Informs our source, "The film is in fact the only 'comedy thriller' to be made by Rituparno. He was quite kicked about the film when he started scouting for the actors. Though Madhavan features in it (who is currently working on Tanu Weds Manu sequel) as the main lead, the film was earlier supposed to star Arshad Warsi. The rest of the cast is pretty impressive too with Konkona Sen Sharma on the forefront and veterans Naseeruddin Shah and Jaya Bachchan coming together as well."

The film is about a pair of magical antique spectacles that allow a person to read the thoughts of others. With Konkona Sen getting hold of these glasses, quite a few interesting things happen in her personal life, even as she battles seven year itch with her husband (Madhavan).

"The good part about Taak Jhaank is that the subject is fresh even till date as no one else has attempted it in the decade gone by. Moreover, with some good appreciation coming in from those who have had a dekko at the film, it was felt that Taak Jhaank could well be revived for a theatrical release, albeit nine years too late," the source adds.

Well, as long as the film is entertaining, we don't mind the delay at all.
