Rishi Kapoor Shares A Rare And Unseen Pic Of Team Mughal-E-Azam With Italian Director Roberto Rossellini

After 60 years of its release, Mughal-E-Azam starring Madhubala, Prithviraj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar remains one of the most iconic films of Indian cinema and Prithviraj Kapoor's grandson Rishi Kapoor shared a rare picture from the film's sets recently.

In the picture one can see Italian filmmaker Roberto Rossellini with the film's team. Clad in an all-white suit, Rossellini is seen posing with director K. Asif, Madhubala, Prithviraj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar. Along with the image, he wrote, "For the film “Mughal-e-Azam” aficionados. A rare off the shoot picture with the acclaimed Italian director Roberto Rossellini with Mr. K. Asif and his actors."

It seems that Rossellini arrived on the day the film's team was shooting for Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. Set during the reign of Emperor Akbar, the film revolves around the tragic love story of Prince Salim and Anarkali.
