Richa Chadha will be next seen playing a kabaddi player in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s upcoming film, Panga, in which she will be sharing screen space with Kangana Ranaut.
Richa is working hard to get into the skin of her character and she met some real kabaddi players and took tips from them to get her character right. Richa recently visited Chandigarh, Ranchi and Patna for some personal and professional work and while visiting the aforementioned places, she met some local athletes to hone her kabaddi skills.
While interacting with them, she realised that every state team and players have their own style and quirks. Speaking about it, Richa said, "I have been training in Mumbai with a few players and coaches. However, I was traveling to a lot of towns like Raipur and Ranchi and meeting these local players was extremely helpful. These guys have an amazing insight and experience to know the sport, which helped a lot for my prep. I was traveling to these places for personal work and I happened to find ways to meet women kabbadi players in the city, spent time with them and spoke to them to know more about the sport(sic).”
The film also stars Jassi Gill, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta and will release on January 24, 2020.
