Revealed: 'Gangaajal 2' Plot And Priyanka Chopra's Character Details!

Ever since Priyanka Chopra's look from upcoming film Gangaajal 2 has been unveiled, there has been a lot of speculation about her character and the film plot and filmmaker Prakash Jha, who had directed Ajay Devgn in the prequel, finally opened up about her character and other details about the film.

Talking about Priyanka's role, Jha said that the actress will be seen playing Superintendent of Police Abha Mathur in the film. As per the storyline, Mathur has never used any political influence to help her career and as a result, has been posted to the fictitious town of Bankipur in Northern India, with a brief to not disturb the nexus between politicians, police officials and businessmen.

Prakash Jha added that Abha Mathur disregards this brief and goes all out to clean up the system, which puts her in trouble not only with her foes but also with her superiors, who want the intrepid Abha to maintain status quo. How Abha manages to deal with the situation forms the rest of the plot.

Jha, who is currently shooting for the film in Bhopal, hopes to have the film released by the end of this year.
