Ranveer Singh Starrer ’83
Ranveer Singh’s upcoming sports drama ’83, which was supposed to release on April 10, has become the latest film to get postponed due to COVID-19.
The makers of the Kabir Khan-directed movie made the announcement today. The film’s release has been ‘put on hold’ for now and the makers will announce a new release date once the ‘conditions return to normal’.
The official statement reads:
In the wake of the risks posed by the recent outbreak of Covid-19 and the growing health concerns, the release of ''83'' has been put on hold. We will take a decision regarding the next course of action once the conditions return to normal.
We urge our fans to take all the necessary precautions and take care of their loved ones. ''83'' is a film about fighting the odds and we hope we all will bounce back from this soon
Ranveer is playing Kapil Dev in the film, which chronicles Indian cricket team’s victory in the 1983 World Cup. The sports drama also stars Deepika Padukone, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Jiiva, Boman Irani and Sahil Khattar among others.
