Actor Raza Murad, who is opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act, recently questioned singer Adnan Sami’s citizenship and the singer, who is now an Indian citizen, took a sharp dig at the actor.

While speaking against the CAA, Raza Murad said, “Did you give citizenship to Adnan Sami or not? He is a Muslim from Pakistan and his dad served the Pakistan Air Force and he had also dropped bombs on India during the 1965 war. I don’t have any issues with his citizenship, I have a problem because you are keeping one community apart and you are showing that they are different.”

When Adnan saw the video, he wrote, “I thought that this guy was a villain & talked crap only in Movies!”  Post his comment, twitterati came out in support of Sami and trolled Murad.

Sami had requested for Indian citizenship on May 26, 2015 and was granted legal status as a citizen of India, effective as on January 2016, by the Ministry of Home Affairs in December 2015.
