Raveena Ravi STALKED and HARASSED:
South Indian actress Raveena Ravi has publicly spoken out after facing years of alleged stalking and harassment. The Love Today actor and dubbing artist, known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam films, took to her official Instagram account to name two individuals she says have been troubling her, her family and her friends for over three years.
In a detailed post, Raveena shared their pictures and accused one of them, along with his twin brother, of repeatedly contacting her online with abusive messages and offensive comments. She said that despite approaching the police and filing complaints, the harassment did not stop. Raveena expressed concern not just for her own safety, but also for the wellbeing of those close to her, and urged her followers to stay alert.
In her post, Raveena said she had stayed quiet hoping legal action would stop the behaviour, but claimed the alleged stalkers continued to harass her through multiple fake accounts. She also apologised to her family and friends for the distress they have endured because of the situation. Raveena asked people on social media to block and report the accounts of the men she named, and to avoid engaging with any messages or comments from them. She warned others to be cautious and shared the information to raise awareness and protect her community.
The actress also appealed to authorities, including Chennai police and cybercrime officials, to take stronger action. She mentioned that Chennai is often considered one of the safe cities for women in India and expressed hope that this reputation would be upheld by ensuring the safety of all citizens. Her public stand highlights ongoing concerns about online harassment faced by women in the entertainment industry.
