Don 3 shelved?
Farhan Akhtar remade Amitabh Bachchan's iconic Don (1978) in 2006 with Shah Rukh Khan. The film was a box office hit and then had a sequel in 2011, which was a hit too. After waiting for more than a decade, the makers announced Don 3, with Ranveer Singh replacing SRK.

The official announcement of Don 3 was made last year, and the film was supposed to go on floors early this year. However, there has been a delay, leading to speculation about the film being shelved. Is the film really shelved? During a recent conversation with India Today, producer Farhan Akhtar clarified all the baseless rumors.

Producer and director Farhan Akhtar, who made Don and Don 2, will start working on Don 3 after his current projects. He confirmed that the third film in the Don series will go on floors this year. Ranveer Singh is currently busy shooting for Aditya Dhar's Dhurandar, which will be released later this year. After that, the Gully Boy actor is expected to start filming for Don Part 3. The film will feature Kiara Advani in the leading female role, as a replacement for Priyanka Chopra, who played the female cop in the previous two films.
