"I’m Hoping To Make Don My Own And Give It My Spin," Says Ranveer Singh at the Red Sea International Film Festival

Ranveer Singh is soon going to be the new Don in Bollywood with Excel Movies' upcoming crime drama, Don 3. Earlier, the role of Don was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Now, Farhan Akhtar has decided to give it a modern touch with modern star Ranveer Singh.

Recently, Ranveer Singh was honoured at the Red Sea Film Festival with a special honour award. During a conversation, he spoke about Don 3. "I'm hoping to make Don my own and give it my spin, my interpretation," said Singh.

Ranveer added, "It is the handing over of the baton to one of the most loved and revered franchises of Hindi cinema. The significance of that is not lost on me. When the announcement was made, as expected, it came with its share of scepticism. But throughout the history of cinema, this has happened. Even as recently as perhaps when the Bond franchise changed hands and they announced Daniel Craig as the new Bond, it came with its fair share of scepticism. So, this is only natural."
