Ranveer Allahbadia slammed for post on India-Pakistan crisis:
Ranveer Allahbadia, who was recently in the headlines for receiving heavy backlash for spreading vulgarity on India's Got Latent show, has caught the attention of netizens yet again. This time, it’s about the nation and the national crisis. He shared a post, set across four pictures on Instagram related to the ongoing crisis between India and Pakistan, but quickly deleted it due to the negative comments.
The text in his now-deleted post reads as follows:
"Dear Pakistani Brothers and Sisters,
I will receive hate from many Indians for this, but it is important to say. Just like many Indians, I don’t harbor hate in my heart for you. Many of us want peace as well. Whenever we meet Pakistanis, you invariably welcome us with love. But... dil se sorry agar lag raha hai ki hum nafrat faila rahe hain.
The Indians who have met Pakistanis understand you. But both Indian and Pakistani media (news channels) are currently spreading lies. Most of our population wants peace for the innocents near the border. But India also wants to end Pakistan’s military and ISI's state-sponsored terrorism.
Ek final cheez...
Proof 1: All terrorists that have been caught over the years are originally from Pakistan.
Proof 2: Your military leaders attended the state funeral held for Hafiz Abdur Rauf, brother of the Jaish-E-Mohammed chief.
Proof 3: Your defense minister Khawaja Asif recently admitted to state-sponsored terrorism on Sky News.
But I care about you, not them. That’s why...
This is not: "Indian People vs Pakistani People."
This is: "India vs Pakistani Military and ISI."
Hope peace prevails in the long term, inshallah."
Netizens were unhappy with the beginning of the post, as he referred to Pakistani people as his brothers and sisters and also criticized the tone in which the entire post was written. He even said "sorry" while discussing terrorism, which has not resonated well with netizens, and they are now brutally slamming the comedian on social media platforms.
