Rani Mukerji to Play Suhana Khan's Mother in King:

In a move that has thrilled Bollywood fans, Rani Mukerji is set to join Shah Rukh Khan in the highly anticipated action thriller King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film marks a grand reunion of the iconic duo known for their on-screen chemistry in films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Chalte Chalte.

King is said to be a gritty, emotionally charged action drama that casts Shah Rukh Khan in a dark, intense avatar. Rani’s role will be an interesting one as she will play the mother of Suhana Khan, as confirmed by Pinkvilla. Earlier, a media report indicated that Deepika Padukone would be playing that role.

"Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan have collaborated on films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna among others, and are now all set for a reunion. Rani Mukerji has been cast to portray the part of Suhana Khan’s mother, and it’s a role that serves as a catalyst for the entire action thriller in the film,” a source told the portal.

Rani will shoot for five days for her role. "It was a no-brainer for Rani to say yes to Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand’s offer for King. She heard the part and instantly agreed to come on board the film. Rani’s track is the heart of King, adding emotional depth," added the source.
