Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3 to Be Shot in Mumbai & Delhi; Searching for New Talents –

Rani Mukerji, aka Shivani Shivaji Roy, will be back with the third film of the Mardaani franchise, Mardaani 3. The production for the film has begun now, and it will soon be on floors with the new cast, while Rani will portray the leading character yet again.

As per the latest reports, Mardaani 3 will feature many new faces in the cast and will be shot in Mumbai and Delhi. The real locations will be finalized soon, says a report in Midday. A source close to the production confirmed this with the portal.

"The team at Yash Raj Films is deep into pre-production. The screenplay is being fine-tuned, and look tests are underway. Simultaneously, auditions are ongoing to bring in fresh talent. The emphasis is on finding a strong villain. Additionally, the production team has locked primary shooting locations. A chunk of the action film will be filmed in Mumbai and Delhi. In the next few weeks, the team will also finalize a few locations in North India," informed the source.

Mardaani (2014) was directed by Pradeep Sarkar, while Mardaani 2 (2019) was helmed by Gopi Puthran. Now, the third film will be directed by Abhiraj Minawala for Yash Raj Films.

While announcing the film, Rani revealed that Mardaani 3 will take the adrenaline rush several notches higher than the previous films. "Mardaani is an extremely beloved franchise, and we have a certain responsibility to deliver on the expectations that people have. We will do our best to live up to this. Mardaani 3 is dark, deadly, and brutal. So, I'm intrigued to find out the response of the people towards our film. I hope they shower this film with the same amount of love that they have always given," she said.
