The trailer is simple, and its simplicity is what makes it beautiful. After trying his hands on complex issues with Atrangi Re, director Aanand L Rai is back to his roots, to his own genre, in which he made his most acclaimed films to date, such as Tanu Weds Manu, Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Akshay Kumar as Chandni Chowk ka Ladka looks natural, but it is his simplicity and innocence that wins you over. The dialogues are organically funny; hence, the humour connects.Starring Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth, Raksha Bandhan is written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon. The film is directed by Aanand L Rai, produced under the banners of Colour Yellow Pictures and Cape Of Good Films, and will be released in cinemas on 11th August 2022.
