Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is coming back to the big screen with his upcoming film, Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh. The film is set to be released on January 26, 2023, up against Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. When asked about why he decided to clash with Pathaan and how he was going to tackle it, Mr. Santoshi gave an interesting answer. Watch the video below:
"I don't think about that much. In fact, I didn't even know Pathaan was coming. I want to erase this 9-year-absence term set on me. YRF is a big production, Shah Rukh Khan is an honest artist. I wish them the best. They will have their audience, My film will have a different audience," Rajkumar Santoshi told Movie Talkies.
Gandhi Godse stars Chinmay Mandlekar as Godse and Deepak Antani as Mahatma Gandhi. Rajkumar Santoshi's daughter, Tanisha Santoshi, will also make her Bollywood debut under her father's direction. Produced by Manila Santoshi. The film will be released in cinemas on January 26, 2023.
