Rajkumar Hirani Shares His Experience Working With Sanjay Dutt At IFTDA Masterclass

publive-imageRajkumar Hirani, whose last release, Dunki, explored the world of illegal migration and homecoming, was seen uncovering the magic of filmmaking at the IFTDA masterclass with Anjum Rajabali. The filmmaker also spoke about his working experience with Sanjay Dutt.

Rajkumar Hirani has worked with Sanjay Dutt in Munnabhai MBBS (2003), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006), and PK (2014). He also made the biopic of Dutt, Sanju (2018), in which he had a cameo. During a recent IFTDA masterclass, Hirani was seen speaking about his filmmaking style and his views on Sanjay Dutt.

The director was speaking about the actors and their way of working, and there he mentioned Sanjay Dutt. He said, "When I tell Sanjay for rehearsals, he will give me a look. It's impossible to seek rehearsals from him. But I think his strength is memorizing. I'll give him two pages, which he'll read and keep aside. He has a tremendous memory. He is listening (in mind), and on set, you give him instructions, and he will give exactly that."
