Huma Qureshi was recently seen in Partition: 1947. While more Hindi films are on the way for the actress, she has also wrapped up a good portion of her Tamil film Kaala which sees her paired opposite none other than Rajinikanth.
"My scenes with Rajini sir have been special. There is so much to learn from him. He is the biggest superstar to have walked the country and just to share a frame with him is special," says Huma whose exact part in the film is currently under the wraps.
Understandably, she is quite guarded when asked about the film which just concluded an extensive shooting schedule in Chennai.
"Aah, the place is really very hot," smiles Huma, "It turns out to be quite grueling at times. That said, the city by itself is very lovely and the people are so good. I have had a wonderful time shooting for this film which is turning out to be quite beautiful film."
Though the film apparently went through quite a few actresses, the chosen one was Huma Qureshi.
"When the script was narrated to me, I realized that this is such a relevant film. At the heart of it all, this one is a love story. There are celebrations and so much more. Kaala is indeed quite special for me."
Slated to release in 2018, the film is produced by Dhanush and directed by P.A. Ranjith who was the man behind Rajinikanth's last year's superhit, Kabali.
