Passengers at Mumbai Central Station, Mumbai, were in for a rather unpleasant twist as a catfight broke out between two irked women at the railway station.
The warring women turned out to be Purnima, his divorced spouse and Roshni Achreja, actor Raghuvir Yadav's current love interest.
Reportedly, Yadav who disembarked from the Rajdhani Express was detained by the GRP, as there was an arrest warrant for the elusive actor, who, for the last eight months had failed to turn up for court hearings where his wife Purnima has been unsuccessfully seeking maintenance for herself and their son Achal.
Says Purnima ruefully in a newspaper quote, "Until 2007, I had a job with the National School of Drama, but now I'm making ends meet by conducting workshops. Raghuvir is not even ready to help his son. When he went to him to seek help for his career, Raghuvir told him that he'd help only if I dropped the case against him."
Yadav and Purnima tied the marital knot in 1988, but their marriage cracked up in 1996, as the actor filed for divorce in a Jabalpur court. Reportedly, Yadav was asked to pay a maintenance of Rs 20,000 per month, a sum the high court later brought down to Rs 10,000, says Purnima. The bitter truth, asserts Purnima, is that "Yadav has not paid her a single paisa, as yet."
Pity, 'Mungerilal', no laughs on this one.
